This week
 Mihoko from Saori Worcester is back with weaving on floor looms, felting, spinning, sewing and more. A few spaces are still open 9-2.

Book Arts Greta Lanes is in the studio afternoons 2-6 teaching Book Arts. Greta just graduated North Bennett Street school in bookbinding and is bringing this traditional art form back to life at AWA.Learn book decoration and bookbinding!

Next weekit's a classic Art with Amy week with lots of painting, sculpture and sketchbooking. Meeting 8:30-2 daily. Sign ons by the day welcome.

We've also got funafternoonofferings includingSlime, painting, mixed media printmaking (make your own sun print t-shirt) AND Create and draw your very own fantastical creatures!

Introducing Art and Music with Seth and Rachel for the younger set.This one is a parent/child class meeting Thursdays 9-10:30 July 25th
August 1st, 8th and 15th.

Amy's Daily Drawing Project at AMP in Provincetown in July

I have work from my Daily Drawing Project 2018 along with larger works from 2019 at AMP (Art Market Provincetown) this July!

If you are in P-town you can view my work from now until July 31st. The opening is Friday, July 12th 6 - 9.

AMP is located in the beautiful East End of Provincetown at 432 Commercial Street. Gallerist Deb Nadolney always creates exceptional art shows. Happy to be part of this one!

Summer Slime Labs are back!

Last summer our Slime Lab was super popular so we are back with more! Wednesday/Slime day! Here are our dates. All workshops run 2-6. Cost $80. Scenty slime, sparkly slime, colorful slime!

AWA/ Amy Solomon Art Opening At Chandler Gallery

I'd like to invite you to the opening of "Writing in the Margins" at the Chandler Gallery in Cambridge. The opening is this Thursday May 9th 6-8.  Pieces from my series "Once There Was a Girl" are showing alongside beautiful work by Lola Baltzell, Carol Blackwell and Valerie Spain.

2-3 Learn to make paper beads

Learn to needle felt and wet felting. Kids will be making these awesome felted bowls {pictured).

Summer is almost here! 

This year studio classes begin at 8:30am and our afternoon session runs until 6. Swimming options will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We have weaving weeks, Egyptian art explorations, painting, building, mixed media, a doll house week and lots more.

Summer is a special time at the studio. As always we have a full mix of ages with a limited number of students each week. When space allows we have drop ins available.

February break! Art for sale from First Friday @AWA, Parent/child art returns! Sundays!

Hi all,

February break is around the corner! Here's what we have planned:
All days are 9-2
Tuesday: Make a doll and a small house for your doll with furnishings, decorations and all 
Wednesday: Art with Amy explorations! An open studio day including lots of painting, drawing and building
Thursday: Sculpey! Enjoy a full day of sculpture explorations
Friday: Build! All sorts of building

Parent/child art returns!: There's been a request for Tuesday mornings 9-10 to be added. Are you interested in joining this new group? Email us :)

Sunday morning: Learn bookmaking, embroidery and more. Details/times on our web site... ...sign on by the workshop. We've also formed a very tiny group for quiet drawing on some Sunday mornings. This one is for 8-10 year olds and their parents. Limited to 4 students per group.

First Fridays! We had our very first First Friday art event last weekend. Check out some of the work that was on display at under the First Friday art for sale tab. AWA students and artists!  Sales include a donation to Brookline Food Pantry this month.We have lots of cards including some beauties for Valentines day<3 If you'd like to see work in person please feel free to email. Black and white studies after our Ansel Adams museum trip

Great Wednesday class! We made black and white paintings following up on the trip to the MFA to see Ansel Adams black and white photos. Also, had Rivers and Tides - the documentary about Andy Goldsworthy- playing throughout the class. A great comparison to Adams! Here’s a few of the studies.
