Fall is officially here!

Here come the Brookline school half days! 

We have online registration for the two Thursday classes. Both include pick up at OLS ( Pierce) and pizza.

For Wednesday half days our after school class will be taking museum field trips which will include the after school time. Classes will run 12:30-6. We may have space for two more students. Please reach out if you are interested.

Week of July 22nd
Wearable art and sewing week!

8:30-2:00
Paint tote bags and design t-shirts, including learning the art of batik (painting with wax and dyes pictured below ). Make a stuffed animal, and learn embroidery.
As usual, there will also be tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, and canvas painting. 
Mixed ages welcome!

2:00-6:00

Afternoons have been 12 year olds and teens with a mix of art including batik, painting and all sorts of constructions. It's been a peaceful and fun time. 

For this week sign ons by the day and week are welcome. Please reach out with questions and to sign on.

Happy July 4th week!

This week we are happy to have Jen in the studio teaching painting and drawing 10-2 daily ( closed for Thursday July 4th).

Learn creative color theory and painting techniques! This is an intergenerational class- we welcome children and adults and all skill levels welcome!

Summer Art Update!

Week of June 23rd ( this week! )  
We have one space open for 8:30-2:00 and four spaces for 2:00-6:00. 

Week of July 1st
We just added a painting and drawing class taught by Jen. Hours 10-2. All levels of experience welcome. ( no class on July 4th) 

Week of July 7th
Mihoko will be in the studio with weaving and fiber arts! Four spaces open. Weave, spin, felt and sew. Hours 9-2

We meet students where they're at. All themes are suggested. Our studio is small enough to help students work on self designed projects and explorations.

Lots of great programming this summer including a full week of weaving on looms and fiber arts with Saori Weaving, Nature Week, Wearable Art Week, Building and all of the usual AWA fun stuff!

M-F 2:00-6:00 / $505 including supplies

**Mihoko’s weaving and fiber arts, week of July 8**

 M-F: 9-2, tuition: $650, plus an additional materials fee of $50 per student

During the week of Mihoko’s weaving class floor sized looms fill the studio, so we will be closed during the afternoons.

We believe in the magic and power of creativity, and like to meet students where they’re at. While we offer many different projects each week, there are never any requirements. This is a real studio for artists to explore! Summer programs are mixed age in small groups.
Each day is broken into two sections with similar programming for each section. Sign on for one or both sections each week! Daily sign ons are also available.

We are pleased to announce Mihoko Wakabayashi will return to the Art with Amy studio with her floor sized looms! Enjoy a full week of weaving, spinning, felting and sewing (by hand and machine!). Each summer we've seen our students make lasting memories AND scarves, vests, dresses, and stuffed animals. Teens welcome. Intergenerational!

Saori weaving and Art with Amy share a "there are no mistakes!" philosophy and truly all leave happy :).

Cities week! Make your own tea maps and design your own cities with mixed media materials. Make a light-up “apartment building” lantern from a cereal box. Of course, there will also be tie dye, drawing, sketchbooking, and canvas painting.

April vacation is almost here!
April 16th - 19th Tuesday-Friday 

AWA will be up and running 9-2 daily with sign ons by the week or day. All classes are mixed age.

Expect lots of creative explorations including clay, painting, drawing, building and some sewing. We love sketchbooks, so as always, sketchbooks for all!

Tuition $440 for four days and $120 per day.

So far we have two afternoons on the schedule. Add on or come to the studio for the afternoon.
